Hi everyone,
We’re really excited for our first call next week. Every month we’ll arrange a call to discuss a different topic suggested by the community. This month we’re talking about building capability in user-centred design. We’re doing two calls to accommodate different timezones, so you only need to join one of them. I’ll send out the calendar invites with conference call meeting links following this email.
When:
June 13th 18:00-19:30 BST (British Summer Time) Northern Hemisphere call
June 14th - 8:30am-10am BST (British Summer Time) Southern Hemisphere call
Join us in a conversation about things like hiring designers, designing training, upskilling teams in user-centred design, and working with universities and schools to ensure the skills we need are being taught.
For our first call, the team at Government Digital Service (GDS) in the UK will share the work they are doing to design a one-day introduction to user-centred design course for civil servants across government.
Here’s the agenda for the call:

30min - Presentation: “Designing a one-day introduction to user-centred design at GDS”
35min - Discussion: What’s working well for building capability? What are your key challenges? Are there any resources you’ve found useful or things you can share?
10min - Wrap up
